BROWN PALACE SPA
The Brown Palace Hotel & Spa
Denver, Colorado
Created on its history.
Designed in formality.
Type: Historic
Location: Urban
Area: 5,500 s.f./510 s.m.
Concept: Restrained Grandeur
Originally built in 1892, this property had its own unique set of challenges. Among them, the direct access to the spa off of the infamous Tiffany glass-domed ceiling in the hotel lobby. The new spa needed to embrace its 114 year history while subtly expressing its purpose in a manner commensurate with the hotel's grandeur. The solution was to unfold the guest's journey from larger spaces to smaller spaces so that the transition from the grand to the intimate was effortless both visually and experientially.
